Gifting & Wish Lists

GIFTING A PRODUCT

With our vendors, it’s now possible to buy a product as a gift  – either a gift box to transfer to your named recipient whenever you choose (even if the product is copy person), or to send directly as a gift when you buy.

Click on the vendor of the product you want to send as a gift.

•   Select ‘Gift’ from the popup menu.
•   Type the account name (not display name) of the recipient into the text box of the next popup
•   You’ll then be directed to pay the vendor
•   Once paid, you’ll be given another popup menu/ Choose from two options:  ‘Direct Gift’ or ‘In a GiftBox’
•  ‘Direct Gift’  – the vendor will send the gift directly, if the person is offline it will wait before sending the gift. You have two options with sending a direct gift, either to just send it or send it with a message to the recipient.
•  ‘In A GiftBox’ – you’ll be given a gift box that you can transfer personally to the recipient, which is perfect for Christmas/Birthdays/Wedding gifts etc! . You’ll be directed to a webpage link (at CasperVend, our vendor system) to choose a gift box design. You’ll also be able to rez   and  rename  the gift box to something that makes it easier to find in your inventory. After you’ve given the gift box to the recipient, they’ll rez the gift on land where they can run scripts and automatically get a popup message  “This is a gift for you from ((original customer))! Would you like to open the box now?” and the option to choose ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. If they click ‘Yes’ , the product will be delivered to them.
•   If you have a store credit balance, you can use that to purchase products as gifts also.
•  Alternatively our products can be purchased as gifts via the Marketplace .

YOU’VE RECEIVED A GIFT

If you’ve received a gift-boxed product from someone (assuming it’s been bought using the GIFT button from one of our vendors), you’ll need to rez it on the ground and you’ll get a pop-up window asking if you want the gift delivered – click ‘Yes’ and it will be sent to you.

WISHLISTS

You can add products to your very own Wish List, which you can share with your partner, friends or family, so that they know exactly what to give you for your Birthday, Christmas, Wedding, Valentine’s Day or any occasion!  Touch a vendor to bring up the menu and you’ll see a button called ‘Wishlist’.  Items will remain on the list until it’s either been bought by themselves or bought for them, even without seeing the list – although the list owner will still see the product on their list, so the surprise isn’t spoiled.
